US Dept. Of Health & Human Services - Healthy People 2020

 

Healthy People 2020 strives to identify nationwide health improvement priorities and increase public awareness and understanding of the determinants of health, disease, and disability and the opportunities for progress.

 

They provide measurable objectives and goals that are applicable at the national, state, and local levels. They also engage multiple sectors totake actions to strengthen policies and improve practices that are driven bythe best available evidence and  knowledge.

Wisconsin Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health

 

The primary focus of the Council iis to enable a system so that all Wisconsin youth are provided withopportunities to eat healthy and engage in health-related physical activityexperiences, and are educated on the importance of healthy eating habitsand fitness activities they can use throughout their lifetime.

World Health Organization (WHO)

 

WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.
